A stone's throw from Plymouth Rock, Brewster Park is a great place for picnic, walking the dog, or just going for a stroll. It is a popular place for wedding photo's during the summer, and a great place to watch the 4th of July parade. There is a walking path which goes from the water front back to the Jenny Grist Mill, which is the oldest in the United States. This is a great place to visit any time of year.

Fort Williams Park is located on the shore of Southern Maine. It is an incredible place to visit. Scattered around the park are many old World Ware II bases, most of them small, but all of the accessible in nice weather. Home to the oldest lighthouse in Maine, the Portland Head Light, it's a wonderful place to visit for an afternoon.

The Portland Head Light is the oldest Lighthouse in Maine. Located in Fort Williams Park, it is a wonderful place to visit year round. In the summer you can walk the grounds and visit all the old World War II buildings, but during the winter you can see some pretty spectacular weather. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

If you visit Plymouth, you can see THE Plymouth Rock. While smaller than most people think, it is a part of history, and I think everyone should visit it at least once. It's free to see, right on the waterfront, and about a 2 minute walk from the Mayflower II.

Edaville Railroad, located among cranberry bogs in South Carver, has been running trains since 1946. Open year round, if you are in the area around christmas, make sure you visit their Festival of Lights. With over 7 Million lights on display, it is truly something spectacular.
