The Jenney Grist Mill is the oldest grist mill in the United States. It is run as a 1636 Living History Museum, and is a great place to visit. It sits at one end of the trail through Brewster Park, that leads you right to the waterfront. There are a few small shops inside, as well as a great restaurant, the Run of the Mill. Parking is free nearby.

The Portland Head Light is the oldest Lighthouse in Maine. Located in Fort Williams Park, it is a wonderful place to visit year round. In the summer you can walk the grounds and visit all the old World War II buildings, but during the winter you can see some pretty spectacular weather. Don't miss it if you are in the area.

Originally constructed as a movie set, it features wooden boardwalks, red brick streets, detailed old-fashioned town square, and centerpiece gazebo.

When we visited, we had an hour wait for dinner, so instead of sitting down, we took a stroll around the Town. It's pretty small, you can walk from one end to the other in a few minutes, but there is so much to see. There is a live Stunt show every 30 minutes, lots of small shops, and a bunch of things to see, including an old western Jail.

The Flying Horses Carousel is the nation's oldest operating platform carousel and a National Historic Landmark. It is one of the two known carousels built by Charles W.F. Dare in 1876.

The Sparrow House in Plymouth is Plymouth's oldest house. Currently serving as a museum and Pottery shop, they have some incredible stoneware and porcelain pottery that is actually made on site. Very cool place

The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail that leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure. Starting at Boston Common, and traveling to the Old South Meeting House, Faneuil Hall, and even the site of the Boston Massacre. It's a great way to see the city, parking can be tough, but it's easily accessible from the subway system.

The 1749 Court House is a museum right in the center of Plymouth that is free and filled with interesting items from Plymouth's history. It is the oldest wooden Court House and the longest used municipal building in America. (Taken from their website)

Battleship Cover is the world's largest historic naval ship exhibit. You can visit the Battleship Massachusetts, the Attack Submarine Lionfish and the Destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Battleship Cover has five national historic landmarks, and is a wonderful place to visit.
