What is there to say about the Grand Canyon that has not already been said? Getting out of the car and seeing the canyon in front of you, it is truly impressive. There are many trails to hike along the rim, as well as into the canyon. For those of you who prefer to see the canyon without the hiking, there are buses that drive along the rim and make stops at all the major lookout points. It's an incredible place to visit, and I think everyone needs to visit this place once in their lives.

If you dare, you can try staying on Room 5, Gakona Lodge has a "infamous" ghost that favors that room. He smokes a pipe and seems to enjoy playing tricks. There hasn't been the pipe smoke since a non-smoking policy was instituted in the lodge. Many people speculate that the ghost's name is John Paulsen, a customer and business partner many years ago. He has been a pleasant guardian of this lodge for many years and we continue to enjoy his company. (from their website)
